About me

I received my Ph. D. in Computer Science in 1994. I became associate professor in 1995 and full professor in 2008 in the Telematic Systems Department, ETSI de Telecomunicación in the UPM. I was a promoter and current coordinator of the research group STRAST (Real-Time Systems and Telematic Services, 1998), which is currently integrated in the IPTC (Information Processing and Telecommunications Center), in the same university. My current research interests are real-time and cyber-physical systems, including high integrity, mixed-criticality, design methods, software architectures, and machine learning. I has participated in EU funded projects, and in several national government and industry funded research projects. Regarding my teaching activities, I teach courses that cover topics such as programming, operating systems, real-time systems, and distributed systems.
