Rubén Salvador is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and Researcher at the Center on Software Technologies and Multimedia Systems for Sustainability (CITSEM), within the Electronics and Microelectronics Design Group (GDEM). Previously, he was (2006-2011) a Research Assistant at the Center of Industrial Electronics (CEI, UPM) and a hired engineer (2005-2006) at the Intelligent Vehicle Systems division, University Institute for Automobile research (INSIA, UPM).
He obtained a B.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from UPM in 2001, a M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from UAH in 2004, a M.Sc. degree in Industrial Electronics from UPM in 2007 and a Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from UPM in 2015.
In 2017 he was a visiting research professor (5 months) at the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of Rennes, IETR, INSA Rennes (Rennes, France) and in 2009 he interned as a research student (4 months) at the Department of Computer Systems in the Faculty of Information Technology, Brno University of Technology (Brno, Czech Republic) with Prof. Lukas Sekanina.
