New R&D project on masonry dam protections against overtopping

SERPA Research Group is initiating a new R&D project funded by the Spanish Government. Such project aims to increase both hydrologic safety and storage capacity on concrete dams using converging chute walls at the downstream groins of the dam on the abutments. The research partners are the companies FCC, MATINSA, CITECHSA as well as the research center on numerical methods CIMNE.
